Governor Palin was in New York City earlier this week to make an appearance on Fox and Friends as part of her renewed contract with FOX News Network While Palin was in the "Big Apple" she also filmed a special segment with Eric Bolling for tomorrow's installment of "Cashin' In". Check out "Cashin' In" this Saturday at 11:30am ET (7:30am AK time) on FNC, with replay at 4:30pm ET. Eric Bolling and I will talk about our federal government's many abuse scandals. What's needed now is an empowerment of the average American, "the little guy", who knows that a healthy distrust of our federal government is warranted. Today, the Washington-connected permanent political class are cashing in on the backs of the little guys. I say enough is enough. In response to a comment from Tucker Carlson during an interview with Greta Van Susteren, Palin supporters set Twitter "on fire" with #SarahPalinDoes. As usual, Twitchy did a great job in featuring some of the best tweets here.
Mr. Carlson, in his infinite wisdom (or his complete ineptness) uttered, during Van Susteren's interview, that he was "not clear what Sarah Palin does". In my opinion, Carlson is simply part of the main stream (lame stream) media whose agenda is to tear down the most powerful and influential voice for grassroots Conservatives. I'm going to go out on and limb and guess that Mr. Carlson is not familiar with the following: It is often said in Alaska that “the Alaskan political landscape is littered with the bodies of those who underestimated Sarah Palin.”

It’s going to be like 2010, but this time around we need to shake up the GOP machine that tries to orchestrate away too much of the will of constitutional conservatives who don’t give a hoot how they do it in DC. DC is out of touch, obviously. Voices on the right like Mark Levin, Rush, and the writers here at Breitbart have come out strongly against the “go along to get along” politicians who wave the white flag before the battle even begins. We’re not going to be able to advance the cause of limited constitutional government unless we deal with these big government enablers on our side. And this all ties into the problem of crony capitalism and the permanent political class in the Beltway. We need to consistently take them on election after election – ever vigilant.
As far as long-term plans, the door is wide open. I know the country needs more truth-telling in the media, and I’m willing to do that. So, we shall see. And always in the center of it all I have an awesome, full, exciting, and large family living in a very unique part of America that keeps me hopping! I love it! More
Supporters of Sarah Palin knew that her contract with FOX was set to expire at the end of 2012 but over the last three weeks absolutely nothing was leaked regarding those contract negotiations. Today, that all changed with breaking news from Real Clear Politics:
Sarah Palin Parts Ways With FOX News
After a three-year run as a paid contributor to the nation’s highest-rated cable news channel, Sarah Palin and FOX News have cut ties, according to a source close to the former Alaska governor.
“It’s my understanding that Gov. Palin was offered a contract by FOX, and she decided not to renew the arrangement,” the source close to Palin told RCP. “She remains focused on broadening her message of common-sense conservatism across the country and will be expanding her voice in the national discussion.”
The source declined to say whether Palin would pursue a television contract with another news network, such as CNN.
Bill Shine, Executive Vice President at FOX, subsequently issued a statement to the New York Times confirming the news, saying, “We have thoroughly enjoyed our association with Governor Palin. We wish her the best in her future endeavors.” More
