Sarah Palin, via her Facebook page, calls out the lame-stream media again.
CNN: it’s no wonder your ratings still aren't matching competitors. American viewers are smarter than you assume, and we simply want truth in reporting.
Please see the article linked below. Wolf Blitzer’s recent coverage of this story really was blisteringly dishonest. First, because he didn’t reach out to me or the SarahPAC staff for rebuttal. Second, because he failed to disclose the anti-tea party associations of the “architect” of this story whose organization is a competitor of my efforts to advance the candidacies of genuine grassroots conservatives – not those handpicked by the permanent political class. As the article explains, in my recent CPAC speech I gulped and denounced the consultants who engage in campaign hopping and have made a racket out of multi-million dollar failures each election cycle for themselves and their cronies. What a shame CNN continues to plug away in a floundering direction with reports like this. The shame is that they employ some top-notch reporters who no doubt believe in truth in journalism, but examples like this diminish the good reporters’ good efforts.
As a side note, I find it interesting that CNN recently disclosed that their old “Crossfire” show might hit their airwaves again. Wasn’t CNN among those who issued blistering criticism about the use of a “crossfire” icon in 2010 to represent political districts we wished to see represented by commonsense conservatives? CNN, among others, implied that using a “crossfire” icon (which was a tactic first employed by Democrats to illustrate political maps of districts they “targeted” to win) was inciting violence.

Included in Palin's post was a link to this Breitbart article written by Tony Lee:
John Avlon, the co-founder of the anti-Tea Party No Labels group, wrote a bizarre attack piece on Sarah Palin's lean political action committee last week after completely misconstruing what Palin said at the Conservative Political Action Conference. At CPAC, the former Alaska governor and Tea Party leader denounced the permanent political class and urged Republicans to "furlough" the consultants.
Palin railed against consultants and those who need them for stories--like Avlon, who, along with those like Mark McKinnon, feigns objectivity while pushing the "No Labels" agenda that is mutually exclusive with that of conservatives and Tea Partiers. Those like Avlon often bash influential Tea Party conservatives like Palin to pay tribute to their liberal mainstream media masters, who then reward them with dutiful pats on the head and television appearances for him to peddle his "centrist" books the country does not care about, will not read, and certainly has no intention of buying.
More importantly, though, Avlon and the No Labels crowd are directly threatened by the rise of conservatives and Tea Partiers, and they want to do everything they can do diminish the person who serves as a successful spokeswoman and clearinghouse for conservative and Tea Party candidates.
Never in Palin's CPAC speech, which Avlon references heavily in his less than substantive article, did she say a politician cannot have advisers. There is a huge difference between a politician's staff who work almost exclusively for a politician and consultants who look for a new roster of candidates every election cycle. More

While numerous supporters of Governor Palin will be at the CPAC 2013 event, many more of us will be cheering her on from home in what's sure to be a barn-burner of a speech. Inspiring and motivating grassroots activists,
Sarah Palin took to the stage as keynote speaker for the 2012 CPAC Convention where she was not only heckled by Occupy Wall Street members but was also given at least twelve standing ovations by convention attendees. Palin, in her own unique way, took care of the hecklers along with a little help from the audience.
Like no other conservative, Palin gives the kind of speech that makes the listener want to hang on every word. Never one to sugarcoat the problems our nation faces, Palin offers time-tested conservative truths to solve these problems along with a dose of much-needed optimism for the future. Her evident love of country is clearly articulated in her impassioned words.
I was part of that 2012 CPAC audience and you can view my initial impressions here.

Imagine if you will, a piano keyboard with each key representing a conservative value or principle that is required to restore our Republic. Further imagine that the right combination of keys produces the most beautiful melody you’ve ever heard, one that resonates with your very soul. It’s the principles of our founders that are tried and true. It’s the “keys of truth”, conservative principles that will bring this country back from a precipice. I heard that beautiful melody on Saturday, February 11th in a Marriott Ballroom in Washington, DC when Governor Sarah Palin delivered the keynote speech at the 2012 CPAC Convention. Based upon the reaction of the CPAC attendees, Sarah Palin “struck a chord” that resonated with their souls and quotes, such as the following, are the reason why:
Debt – “Ya cut it. Gut it. Get rid of it! Americans shouldn’t have to spend their lives working so hard so Washington can spend easy”
Military – “We are going to put our faith in the strength of our armed forces and not the hollow promises of our adversaries. We must be the home of the brave. We refuse to accept that a weak America means a better and safer world.”
Founders – “Professor Obama may have forgotten the Bill of Rights but we shall not forsake it including those rights that our founders risk their lives for. Freedom of religion. The right to bear arms. We will rise up, we will defend them.”
Economy – “We want an economy built to grow.”
Taxes – “We want to cut taxes so we can create more wealth”.
Jobs – “We have a better jobs plan and it’s called the free market and it worked before this president and it will work again after this president.”
Life – “We believe that every child is created equal with that right to life. I ask you to stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. If not us, who?”
Israel – “God bless Israel.”
Is it any wonder there were some twelve standing ovations? Take a listen.
After reading the above, you most likely think that it was written in the last twenty-four hours and certainly after the posting of SarahPAC’s most recent video release “Chords of Memory”. It wasn’t. Unfortunately the busyness of life sometimes gets in the way of blogging and seemingly good ideas get placed on the back-burner. When I saw the video title “Chords of Memory”, I had to wonder if perhaps the piano keyboard analogy was divinely inspired. I tend to think that perhaps it was.

This press release was issued earlier today by The American Conservative Union. Since February 11th is Governor Palin's birthday I think that a spontaneous round of "Happy Birthday" would be in order and I tweeted the idea earlier today. One of my favorite people on Twitter suggested that "Hail to the Chief" might be the better option. I agree.
Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin Announced as CPAC 2012 Closing Speaker
Former Vice-Presidential Candidate will Conclude Three-Day Event with Address to America’s Oldest, Largest Annual Gathering of Grassroots Conservative Activists
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Conservative Union (ACU) today announced former Vice Presidential candidate and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin will deliver a special keynote address at CPAC 2012 – the 39th annual Conservative Political Action Conference. America’s largest gathering of conservative leaders and activists will be held Thursday, February 9 – Saturday, February 11, 2012, in Washington, DC. The FOX News contributor and New York Times bestselling author will conclude the three-day event, a slot occupied by Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and U.S. Congressman Allen West in the past three years.
“Few national conservative leaders in America today energize and inspire our grassroots activists like Governor Sarah Palin. Her strong record of leadership, championing of our shared principles and magnetic personality have made Sarah Palin a hero to millions of conservatives across the country,” said ACU Chairman Al Cardenas. “As we ready for the critical 2012 election, I’m honored to welcome Governor Palin to the Conservative Political Action Conference for the first-time ever.”
Every year, the ACU brings thousands of grassroots conservatives and conservative leaders together in Washington, DC for three days of blockbuster speeches, policy discussions and networking opportunities – all celebrating the shared principles of smaller government, a strong national defense and traditional values.
CPAC 2012 features an all-star line-up that also includes Ann Coulter, Senators Jim DeMint and Marco Rubio, former Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Governors Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney, Congressmen Jim Jordan, Steve King, Paul Ryan and Allen West, former Senator Rick Santorum, Governor Scott Walker and many more.
