Mama Grizzly's not happy and takes to Facebook to call out Republicans who, just yesterday, voted to increase taxes via what's been referred to as the "internet tax".
More new taxes?
How can we be divided on new taxes? In this horribly weak economy with
an over-reaching, over-spending, anti-small-business government
continually making the wrong decisions, Republicans can't even stay
committed to "No New Taxes"?
Please step away from your
Washington, DC bubble and get back in touch with the hard working people
who sent you there. Read the planks in our party's platform and then
read our lips. Learn from history or face repeating it: NO NEW TAXES.
It's truly not a coincidence that on the very day President Obama speaks at a Planned Parenthood fundraiser that you will find Governor Sarah Palin speaking at a dinner to people who advocate for life. God's perfect timing? I think so.
Governor Palin shared the following on her Facebook page prior to her speech:
There’s no such thing as a coincidence. Today
I’m looking forward to speaking at a pro-life women’s resource center in
Nevada. I intend again to remind women that we are strong enough and
capable enough to choose life and work together to create
a culture that empowers everyone to live to the fullest. How ironic
that on this same day President Obama will be headlining a gala event
for the highly controversial and repeatedly discredited organization
Planned Parenthood. He's the first sitting president to speak to them,
but then again he’s also the first president who is so radically
pro-abortion that as a state senator he refused three times to vote in
favor of legislation that would simply provide medical attention to
babies born alive from botched abortions. Considering the role Planned
Parenthood has played in looking the other way while the mass murdering
abortion doctor Gosnell butchered babies born alive from his horrific
infanticide procedures and abused his women patients, it’s perhaps not
surprising that this same president sees nothing wrong with allowing his
name to be so openly associated with this organization.
Please take a look at the following excerpt from Jonah Goldberg’s book
“Liberal Fascism” for information about the racist and eugenicist
origins of Planned Parenthood, then ask yourself again why in the world
our president would “bless” the cruel underlying efforts of an
organization like this. Do you want him to spend your family’s hard
earned tax dollars funding this culture of death? Surely there are
people of good conscience within Planned Parenthood and other
pro-abortion centers who will feel the imperative within themselves to
find other ways to help women in their time of need. There are so many
better answers than merely eliminating the most precious, promising
ingredient we have on earth – innocent human life. May efforts to cull
the defenseless and vulnerable not be “blessed,” instead may God bless
those who decide that respecting a culture of life in America is the
only way to get us out of the mess we’re in.

Palin then shared this link with her Facebook followers:
Margaret Sanger, whose American Birth
Control League became Planned Parenthood, was the founding mother of the
birth-control movement. She is today considered a liberal saint, a
founder of modern feminism, and one of the leading lights of the
Progressive pantheon. Gloria Feldt of Planned Parenthood proclaims, “I
stand by Margaret Sanger’s side,” leading “the organization that carries
on Sanger’s legacy.” Planned Parenthood’s first black president, Faye
Wattleton — Ms. magazine’s “Woman of the Year” in 1989 — said
that she was “proud” to be “walking in the footsteps of Margaret
Sanger.” Planned Parenthood gives out annual Maggie Awards to
individuals and organizations who advance Sanger’s cause. Recipients are
a Who’s Who of liberal icons, from the novelist John Irving to the
producers of NBC’s West Wing. What Sanger’s liberal admirers
are eager to downplay is that she was a thoroughgoing racist who
subscribed completely to the views of E. A. Ross and other
“raceologists.” Indeed, she made many of them seem tame.
Sanger was born into a poor family of eleven children in Corning, New
York, in 1879. In 1902 she received her degree as a registered nurse.
In 1911 she moved to New York City, where she fell in with the
transatlantic bohemian avant-garde of the burgeoning fascist moment.
“Our living-room,” she wrote in her autobiography, “became a gathering
place where liberals, anarchists, Socialists and I.W.W.’s could meet.” A
member of the Women’s Committee of the New York Socialist Party, she
participated in all the usual protests and demonstrations. In 1912 she
started writing what amounted to a sex-advice column for the New York Call, dubbed “What Every Girl Should Know.” The overriding theme of her columns was the importance of contraception. More
Someone attending the dinner was able to capture over two minutes of Palin's inspiring speech.
Additional photos of the event can be viewed here.
Breitbart also published an article on Palin's remarks in which author William Bigelow noted the following:
"In the battle for the culture of life, the dauntless, fearless Palin is a leading warrior."
Approximately 2 hours ago Gov. Sarah Palin posted the above captioned photo to her Facebook page. If you're unsure of the back-story, let me fill you in.
It's been brewing for a couple of days now and started with this MSNBC clip in which Melissa Harris-Perry tells us that we have to "break through our kind of private idea that kids belong to their parents". Additionally, you should note the use of the word "collectivism" by Ms. Harris-Perry. Palin wanted to draw attention to this notion and tweeted the following:
Here is the video:
This resulted in Sarah Palin tweeting the following:
Twitchy featured this tweet along with a few responses here.
Sarah Palin has, on many occasions, let it be known that Margaret Thatcher was a leader that she looked up to. In fact, as recently as last month, Palin invoked former Prime Minister Thatcher in her CPAC speech.
"If Mrs. Thatcher were with us here today, she would remind
us, there’s a big difference between being pro-business and being
pro-free market. On this there can be no mistaking where free market
stands. It’s time for We the People to break up the cronyism and put a
stake through the heart of too big to fail once and for all."
At time of writing, Palin has posted three tributes to former Prime Minister Thatcher on her Facebook page.
We’re deeply saddened at the loss of Margaret
Thatcher. While the Iron Lady is sadly gone, her iron will, her
unfailing trust in what is right and just, and her lessons to all of us
will live on forever. She was a trailblazer like no other. We lost an
icon, but her legacy, as solid as iron, will live on in perpetuity.
Sarah Palin penned an additional tribute to Margaret Thatcher which was published at National Review Online:
"The Grocer's Daughter:
Margaret Thatcher not only broke a glass ceiling; she broke a class ceiling."
Today
we say goodbye to a towering figure of the 20th century. With the
passing of Margaret Thatcher, we’ve sadly lost the last living member of
that great triumvirate that included Ronald Reagan and John Paul II —
those giants who defeated the evil empire of Soviet Communism and
allowed the liberation of its captive nations. We’ve also lost one of
the great champions of economic freedom and democratic ideals.
Many will focus on the fact that Margaret Thatcher’s career was a
collection of “firsts” for women — she was the first and youngest female
Conservative-party member to stand for election, the first woman to
hold the title Leader of the Opposition, and the first woman prime
minister of the United Kingdom.
But Thatcher not only broke a glass ceiling; she broke a class
ceiling. She was a grocer’s daughter from the back of beyond who
advanced to the height of power in a class-conscious society. Like her
friend Ronald Reagan, she was an underestimated underdog and political
outsider. Simon Jenkins, the former editor of the Evening Standard,
once said, “There was no Thatcher group within the Tory
Party. . . . She was utterly and completely on her own. She simply was
an outsider in every way.” More
Update:
Yesterday, Governor Palin added a 4th tribute to Margaret Thatcher on her Facebook page. This video, "Not For Turning", was released by ShePAC on April 8th.
In response to the failure of yet another green energy initiative, Sarah Palin posted the following statement to her Facebook page on April 5th:
Once again, the American public lost when the
Obama administration attempted to pick “winners and losers” in the free
market. Today the electric car company Fisker Automotive, which received
nearly $200 million in taxpayer money, is laying off three-fourths of
its U.S. workers.
The Anaheim, CA-based start up has failed at pretty much every level – especially when it comes to the company’s ultra expensive
luxury electric hybrid, the Karma (what a name!), which is assembled in
Finland and received a green-energy loan to transition the assembly to
the U.S., something that never happened.
This losing
tax-subsidized venture joins other past losers like the Obama-subsidized
Volt that gets 40 miles per battery charge, or like the
Obama-subsidized Tesla that turns into a “brick” when the battery
completely discharges and then costs $40,000 to repair.
This is
really just the latest manifestation of the administration’s crony
capitalism as their green energy buddies benefit from this atrocious
waste of taxpayer money. Americans really need to get outraged by these
wasteful ventures. As we’ve seen time and time again, We the People are
always stuck subsidizing the left’s “losers.”
So what’s the
solution and where do Americans go with our outrage? Stand up against
the crony capitalism and elect only those who understand and will let
America’s marketplace dictate economic successes, instead of letting
politicians (some who have never run any business nor even worked in the
private sector) choose free enterprises’ winners and losers. Take a
stand, friends. Nothing will change unless you do.
SarahPAC recently released a new video entitled "Loaded for Bear". Supporters viewing the video will be reminded that the 2014 mid-term elections are just around the corner.
A message from SarahPAC's treasurer, Tim Crawford, accompanied the video:
SarahPAC supporters,
The 2014 elections are just twenty months away. We appreciate your
support; together we have elected many great commonsense conservatives
over the past four years. Together, we will keep fighting to support
these bold candidates. Please take a moment to share this video with

Governor Sarah Palin will be speaking at CPAC 2013 on Saturday, March 16th at 12 noon Eastern. According to the official CPAC program, Palin is scheduled for a twenty minute time slot.
While numerous supporters of Governor Palin will be at the CPAC 2013 event, many more of us will be cheering her on from home in what's sure to be a barn-burner of a speech. You can view Palin's speech as well as other key events via live-streaming or by tuning into your local C-SPAN channel. Live streaming is available at the CPAC site, The Right Scoop, Politico, and FOX,
The following was posted to Sarah Palin's Facebook page earlier today. I do believe the Mama Grizzly just roared and as usual, her message is "right on"!
Americans are sick and tired of yet
another ginned-up crisis. D.C. needs to grow up, get to work, and live
within its means. The real economic Armageddon looming before us is our
runaway debt, not the sequester, which the President advocated for and
signed into law and is now running around denouncing because he never
had any genuine intention of reining in his reckless spending.
Remember that this sequestration deal came about because of the long
debt ceiling standoff in the summer of 2011. It wasn’t the ideal outcome
for anyone, but it did at least include real deficit reduction of about
$110 billion per year for 10 years, which is still nowhere near enough
to close our massive deficit. Keep in mind that since the sequester
passed, the President has already hit American families and small
business owners with his tax increases, or “more revenue” as he likes to
call it. The American public doesn’t want tax increases; we want
government to rein in its overspending.
If we can’t stomach
modest cuts that would lower federal spending by a mere 0.3% per year
out of a current federal budget of $3.6 trillion, then we might as well
signal to the whole world that we have no serious intention of dealing
with our debt problem.
If we are going to wet our proverbial
pants over 0.3% in annual spending cuts when we’re running up trillion
dollar annual deficits, then we’re done. Put a fork in us. We’re
finished. We’re going to default eventually and that’s why the feds are
stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest.
If we ARE serious
about putting our fiscal house in order, then let’s stop the hysterics,
tighten our belts, and take our medicine.
- Sarah Palin
Prior to the Facebook posting, Palin also tweeted a related message:
America's sick & tired of yet more ginned up crisis. DC: Grow up.
Get to work. Go around lefty obstructionists then get out of workers'
way.
In response to President Obama's fifth State of the Union Address, Sarah Palin posted the following to her Facebook page:
#SOTUGottaBKiddingMe
If you missed President Obama’s State of the
Union address last night, you didn’t miss much – especially if you
watched any of his past four State of the Union addresses.
We
heard the same recycled rhetoric, and we heard his Orwellian declaration
that the cornucopia of new federal programs he proposed, as well as his
intention to eradicate world poverty, wouldn’t “increase our deficit by a single dime.”
Of course, he glossed over the inconvenient facts. He boasted about job
creation, but didn’t mention that real unemployment is higher today
than when he took office. He touted all those still undiscovered “clean
energy” jobs without mentioning the tens of thousands of real jobs the
Keystone Pipeline will create if he would simply allow it to be built.
He sang of new energy development, but didn’t mention that new offshore
leases for oil and natural gas drilling have declined a decimating 61%
under his administration.
He talked about “helping” to build
“a thriving middle class,” but didn’t address how the middle class is
actually faring under his economic stewardship. This is important – his
deception must be addressed: under his leadership, middle class families
have seen the average price per gallon of gas increase 96%, the average
cost of family health care premiums rise 24%, the annual cost per
household from federal regulations rise to over $15,000, and real median
household income decline $4,520. If this is what happens when he
“helps” the middle class, then please, Mr. President, we implore you to
stop “helping” us.
He talked about a “balanced approach to
deficit reduction” without mentioning that $5.9 trillion has already
been added to the debt since he took office. We’re $16.5 trillion in
debt and he keeps digging the hole deeper! He didn’t mention his record
trillion dollar deficits or the fact that his last proposed budget would
add $9.2 trillion to the debt through 2022. His Democrat-controlled
Senate hasn’t passed a budget in four years. That’s obviously not
“responsible” or “balanced.” He said, “We can’t cut our way to
prosperity.” Well, we definitely can’t get there by borrowing and
spending money we don’t have on his “investments” that don’t work. If
indiscriminately borrowing and spending money led to prosperity, then
bankruptcy would be a sign of economic strength. But it isn’t.
A State of the Union address should give us a true picture of the
direction in which we are headed. But we didn’t get the truth last
night. And it WAS Orwellian.
What is the true state of our
union? Though this may sound harsh, I’ll speak the truth here. We are a
country going bankrupt to fund a bloated, distant, and often corrupt
federal government led by venal politicians more concerned with paying
off their campaign cronies and consolidating their own power than in
preserving the constitutional republic that so many have fought and died
for (including our brave men and women in uniform who were barely
mentioned last night).
We are a country with an economy being
stifled under the weight of a bankrupt and voracious federal machine
demanding more taxes and burdensome regulations. Job creators are the
ones stuck with the bill when Obama calls for “new revenue.” Their
businesses bear the brunt of the nearly 87 million paperwork hours
imposed by federal regulations in 2012 – annually costing them $1.75
trillion. And I haven’t even mentioned Obamacare yet, which looms like
the dark cloud it is over our private sector. Is it any wonder why our
economy is stagnant or why job growth is so anemic? President Obama’s
“solution” to these problems is to make the federal government more
intrusive, bankrupt, and controlling.
If we continue down the
path Barack Obama has us on, the long-term forecast of the state of our
union is not a pretty picture. Yet he merrily rolls along it, deceiving
too many Americans into thinking that these are intelligent, economic,
and ethical proposals.
Our President wasn’t candid with
Americans about our forecast, but, interestingly, in a Q&A session
last week, Paul Krugman, one of President Obama’s economic cheerleaders
at the New York Times, was remarkably candid about where we’re headed.
When asked about our federal debt, he admitted that “eventually we do
have a problem” especially because “the population is getting older” and
“health care costs are rising.” So, what does he see as the solution to
pay for all this? He admits that your taxes will rise. And worse:
“Surely in the end it will require some middle class taxes as well. We
won’t be able to pay for the kind of government the society will want
without some increase in taxes, not a huge one, but some increase in
taxes on the middle class, maybe a value added tax. And we’re also going
to have to make decisions about health care – not pay for health care
that has no demonstrated medical benefits. So, the snarky version I use,
which I shouldn’t even say because it gets me in trouble, is death
panels and sales taxes is how we do this.” (But wait, I thought there’d
be no such thing as “death panels,” liberal liars?)
Mr.
Krugman tried to portray this brave new world in the gentlest possible
light, but it’s going to take quite a lot of “sales taxes” to meet the
payments on the ever-increasing multi-trillion dollar debt we’re burying
our kids and grandkids under. And with health care costs rising under
Obamacare, obviously a lot of care will be rationed and even flat out
denied by panels of faceless bureaucrats making life and death decisions
for you and your loved ones. This is the long-term forecast for the
state of America under Obama’s failed policies: middle class taxes and
death panels.
Does that sound good to you? It doesn’t to me.
So, we better get motivated to do something about it. We’d better get
out of our post-election funk and wake up to the radicals’ reality being
created as America gets “fundamentally transformed.”
Here’s
the good news: President Obama is in many ways a lame duck president.
None of his ridiculous ideas will come to pass via the legislative
process. Of course, he may try to force them down America’s throat by
imposing them through other means. But they can be undone if the right
people are in position to undo them. He is very bold right now – some
would say cocky – because of his November win, but there is another
election around the corner, and we can check his boldness at the ballot
box by electing constitutional conservatives. We must continue to affirm
the fact that growing our bankrupt federal government is NOT the
solution. Most of what the federal government does could be handled
better on the individual, local, and state levels.
Our country
didn’t weather a Revolution, two World Wars, a Civil War, a Great
Depression, and countless other political and economic storms, just to
be sunk by the dangerous policies of this current administration. We’re
stronger than this. As President Reagan said, “I do not believe in a
fate that will fall on us no matter what we do. I do believe in a fate
that will fall on us if we do nothing.”
So, do something. 2014
is just around the corner. Get motivated! Get organized. America, don’t
retreat. In the words of yet another White House program, “Let’s move.”
