What if...?

In all honesty, there's not a day that goes by that I don't think of just how different this GOP primary season would have been with Sarah Palin in the mix.  Timothy Stanley, an Oxford University historian, correctly (in my opinion) lays out what this presidential campaign season might have looked like had Governor Sarah Palin declared her candidacy.

(CNN) -- The Republican presidential primary hasn't exactly overflowed with talent. In December, it was a roll call of the undesirable Right: Romney, Santorum, Gingrich, Paul, Perry, Huntsman and Bachmann -- a list so long and bizarre that Count Dracula could have slipped in on the end and no one would have noticed. Except, as the citizens of Chicago will tell you, the dead always vote Democrat.

Now, we're down to a final three, discounting Ron Paul, who, I'm guessing, is only staying in the race to collect air miles. Although the talent pool has shrunk, it has gotten no deeper. As Mitt Romney suffers defeat after defeat at the hands of Rick Santorum, whose chances of winning this thing aren't high, his negatives mount up, and the president looks stronger by the day. The Republican Party is divided and in danger of becoming out of touch.

It didn't have to be this way. If Sarah Palin had entered the contest, I'd hypothesize two alternative realities. One, she'd have the nomination sewn up by now. Two, she'd be running even in the polls with the president.

What have proved to be problems for the top three candidates wouldn't have been problems for Palin. For starters, she has none of Newt Gingrich's intellectual hubris. There's no way Palin would have promised to put a mine on the moon or suggest arresting judges who make decisions that are too liberal. Her conservatism is far more domestic and down-to-Earth.  More

I look at the far Left’s assault on Wisconsin and I say, “Are you kidding?” As an outsider (albeit an admitted Green Bay fan with family roots in Chippewa Falls), I join millions of Americans watching the political shenanigans in Wisconsin. I am torn between just chuckling at these radical liberal yahoos trying to oust an intelligent administration that is fulfilling its promises, or raising a fist in disgust at people sitting on their thumbs while Governor Walker and Lt. Governor Kleefisch get thrown to the wolves.

Wisconsin, you deserve better than this!

You’re the “Forward” state – part of the breadbasket that feeds America. Deep woods, pristine waters, esteemed academic institutions, and shining cities reside alongside the dairy farms dotting your picturesque landscape carved out by generations of hard working Americans. In their honor, and to assist the other 49 states, please continue to go forward; don’t let 80 million political dollars – from outside special interests – convince you to go backward toward debt, high taxes, unemployment, and shuttered industry.

You don’t have to let those millions of outside dollars flooding your state destroy the records and reputations of your Governor and Lt. Governor, nor should the political dollars dictate your state’s destiny. You have a choice: Retreat, or fight for the positive reform you elected in 2010.

Governor Walker has left the far Left unhinged, so he’s had to amass a war chest to fend off the lies and dirty dealings in the capitol; and, thankfully, it’s predicted he’ll survive his recall.

But the recall fight that is just as important is Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch’s. Please click this link to help her.

She’s being thrown beyond the wolf pack – she’s also under the GOP establishment’s bus because this Tea Party “Mama Grizzly” beat the establishment candidate when she got elected. (And dang, it’s uncomfortable under that chassis!) Rebecca must be thinking, “With friends like these, who needs enemies?” Worse than seeing radical Leftists attack and make things up about a Conservative female opponent is when supporters on the Right sit on their thumbs and act as if there’s nothing they can do to help. Come on! When all else fails you can at least tell the truth! Tell other voters why you supported Rebecca in the first place. Explain her campaign promises and how she has stuck to them and – surprising in today’s political world – is actually fulfilling them. She promised to help balance the budget, cut taxes, build a sound fiscal environment, and provide job opportunities for all Wisconsin residents – not only our union brothers and sisters. She’s setting an example for every other state in the union because responsible state and local governments will be the entities that defend our Republic at a time when there is less and less reason to believe our big centralized federal government will address its self-perpetuated economic problems. Governor Sarah Palin appeared "On The Record" with Greta Van Susteren at which time she discussed the "Affordable Care Act" that is now before the Supreme Court of the United States.  Palin also opined on Romneycare and the effect that it will have on the general election process should Mitt Romney become the GOP nominee.

Palin: The Audacity of Obama’s Intentions Revealed

Governor Palin, like many Americans, is expressing concern over remarks that were made by President Obama during what was intended to be a private conversation with Russian President Medvedev.  Unfortunately (though fortunate for the American people), Obama's comments were picked up on a "hot microphone".  Exactly what does President Obama mean by "more flexibility"? Palin speculates on "more flexibility" based upon President Obama's record.

 

The following was posted to Sarah Palin's Facebook page earlier today.

Whoever chooses to merely dismiss the significance of today’s exchange between our President and Russia’s President should have their intelligence and patriotism questioned. Let this exchange be a warning to voters: President Obama will have “more flexibility” to weaken us if he’s re-elected in November. He was caught speaking candidly to Russian President Dmitri Medvedev before a “hot mic” today (and surely one must believe he didn’t know the mics were still on; surely he’s not so audacious as to purposefully broadcast his intentions), as reported by ABC’s Jake Tapper. Here’s the exchange:

President Obama: On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved but it’s important for him to give me space.

President Medvedev: Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you…

President Obama: This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.

President Medvedev: I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.

 Let’s consider what this “flexibility” might mean. We know that he has repeatedly conceded to foreign demands and backed down on missile defense. I pointed this out as Governor of Alaska when he proposed reducing Alaska’s missile defense system capabilities. I explained then that the President’s proposed military cuts would diminish Alaska’s opportunity to defend the union with our strategic location’s defense infrastructure. We also know that in 2009, as part of his “reset” with Russia, President Obama turned his back on our Eastern European allies by abandoning past promises for a missile shield in Poland and the Czech Republic.

We can’t know for certain what this newly revealed “flexibility” means, but considering President Obama’s past actions, be sure it won’t involve a position of strength for America and our allies. Russia has been thwarting us on one issue after another, including the rushed-through New START Treaty that many of us questioned after Obama insisted America ratify it first, then allow Russia to sit on it – unratified on their end – until it suited that foreign power’s needs.  More

Palin: Last Frontier Women Don’t Tolerate Misogynists

Posted to Sarah Palin's Facebook page earlier today,  Palin again calls out the bad behavior of misogynists and goes on to cite fine examples of strong women. Shouldn't ALL women be treated with dignity and respect or only those with liberal beliefs? Good question Governor Palin. 

 

Two fellow Alaskan women, Kirsten Powers and Penny Lee, penned a letter to the New York Times calling out misogynist attacks on women in public life.

They included this interesting aside: “Coincidentally we both hail from Alaska — where women are treated as equals — so perhaps our threshold for this kind of behavior is less than here in the Lower 48.”

As an Alaskan woman, I completely agree. Women up here do not tolerate the sexist stereotyping and behavior.

Up here, I’m constantly around commercial fishermen who curse like sailors, oil field workers with hardcore blue collar work ethics, tattooed-up soldiers serving on our military bases, long-haul truck drivers, motorheads, hunters and sport fishermen; and yet I don’t know anyone who talks about women the way these misogynists on TV do with their degrading comments, which includes comments mocking those with special needs.

I grew up hunting, fishing, playing sports, plowing snow, and chopping wood just like the guys. My parents raised my sisters and me to never consider gender an unequal element in anything. (In fact, today is my Dad’s birthday, and I want to give him a shout out because as a science teacher and track coach, he treated all of his students and athletes equally with respect and encouragement.) My daughters have participated on football, hockey, and wrestling teams just like the guys. We even dress like the guys at times (or they, like us) in warm camo hoodies and Carharts. It’s accepted up here because the environment is rugged and real, and our Alaskan elements are a great equalizer.

Women and men are equals in every way in the Last Frontier, and real men are not threatened by strong women. Real men don’t insult women with gross sexist comments meant to demean and objectify them.  More

 

Palin: Healthcare's Two-year Big Deal Anniversary

The following was posted to Sarah Palin's Facebook page approximately one hour ago.  In reading some of the comments from Facebook readers, it's clear that many people do not understand that Palin is merely quoting Vice President Biden's remark that was caught on an open microphone. 

Funny how Palin has been deemed "irrelevant" yet a simple post garners over 1200 comments and some 1500 shares in approximately one hour.  Yeah, she's irrevelant all right.  NOT!

 

Mr. President, you're conspicuously absent from the 2-year anniversary of your "greatest accomplishment" (described by your VP as "a big f***ing deal"). Where's the party? Concerned citizens around the country recognized the 2-year anniversary of Obamacare by protesting its attack on religious liberty. Oral arguments on Obamacare start next Monday, March 26, before the Supreme Court. Voting out Obama starts on Nov. 6.

 

 

You Have Got To Give Them Some Credit for Audacity Of Meadow Muffin Rhetoric

Vice President Joe Biden recently made a preposterous statement by claiming at a fundraising event in Morris Township, N.J. "You can go back 500 years. You cannot find a more audacious plan,” referring to President Barack Obama’s decision to kill Osama Bin Laden.

Oh really?? Appears to me Biden is spewing audacious bull manure….

President Reagan had a favorite joke that he used to tell many times according to many who worked with him. The joke concerns twin boys of five or six. Worried that the boys had developed extreme personalities -- one was a total pessimist, the other a total optimist -- their parents took them to a psychiatrist.

First the psychiatrist treated the pessimist. Trying to brighten his outlook, the psychiatrist took him to a room piled to the ceiling with brand-new toys. But instead of yelping with delight, the little boy burst into tears. "What's the matter?" the psychiatrist asked, baffled. "Don't you want to play with any of the toys?" "Yes," the little boy bawled, "but if I did I'd only break them."

Next the psychiatrist treated the optimist. Trying to dampen his outlook, the psychiatrist took him to a room piled to the ceiling with horse manure. But instead of wrinkling his nose in disgust, the optimist emitted just the yelp of delight the psychiatrist had been hoping to hear from his brother, the pessimist. Then he clambered to the top of the pile, dropped to his knees, and began gleefully digging out scoop after scoop with his bare hands. "What do you think you're doing?" the psychiatrist asked, just as baffled by the optimist as he had been by the pessimist. "With all this manure," the little boy replied, beaming, "there must be a pony in here somewhere!"

Reagan told this joke so often according his staff, that it got to be kind of joke with the rest of them. Ronald Reagan was the optimist. He always believed “there was a pony in every dung hill”. His joke, his words, his staff's fighting call- "There must be a pony in here somewhere.” Let’s find the pony.

We won’t give up hope that at some point we will find that pony in this present administration. It doesn’t seem likely that will happen anytime soon since we hear what appears to be meadow muffin verbiage from the White House on a fairly regular basis. In addressing the statement made by Biden White House Press Secretary Jay Carney insists that Vice-President Joe Biden did not misspeak when he made his statement. White House Press Secretary Jay Carney was asked during a press briefing "What did he mean by that?" Carney stated, “I think he meant the decision the president made, as you all know and are aware of, was a very difficult one,” Carney said. “It has been reported that the information we had obviously was high quality, but it was not conclusive, that the advice the president was getting from his senior most national security advisors was mixed on what to do, mixed at best. But in the end, he had to make a very big decision."

HUH??? Time to put on the hip waders .....

A reporter went on to ask "He didn't misspeak?" Carney answered, "No."

Carney, you surely jest???? Apparently not as he stated the above with a straight face.

Americans that are knowledgeable in basic history events and milestones would disagree with Biden's claim. Yet, the same rhetoric is still being pushed in a 17 minute film narrated by Tom Hanks. Oh, wait ...Tom Hanks is also the person that mistakenly said that the War with Japan was racial when Japan attacked USA at Pearl Harbor and Japan was in the Axis powers with Hitler and both determined to take over the world. Where do they come up with this stuff? Japanese Racial? Good grief, we were defending ourselves. To give Hanks some credit, he later had to retract his statement when he learned what most of us already knew from our junior high school history lessons.

Amazing how many buy into every good sounding statement due to the lack of basic middle school knowledge.

Glen Beck, along with several bloggers, pundits and many Americans have shook their heads in disbelief over Biden’s remarks. Does Biden and this administration really believe Americans are so dumbed down that they are completely clueless as to facts and truth?

It is hard not to note how audacious Biden’s comments are considering the lengthy list of audacious historical events that have occurred in the last 500 years, like the 102 pilgrims making the decision to sail the ocean blue on the Mayflower, a ship approximately 80ft long for 2750 miles for freedom of religion...Or the risks and decisions by our founding fathers as they wrote and signed, the "Declaration of Independence," knowing that by signing it would mean their own death if the Revolution failed. " .......they would have been hanged, beheaded, drawn and quartered and had their entrails cut out and burned!"- Ben Gates National Treasure(2004)

Did Obama risk his own life by his decision?

As to Biden's comment, that is if you are are so inclined to accept Biden's diatribe as well as much of the cow patties the left slings in the hopes that you will believe it:
It blows away the Battle of Normandy. During the Battle of Normandy in WWII six thousand lives were lost in a day. The soldiers knew they were probably not going to make it, but they kept trudging forward onto the beach. Let this sink in, 9,000 allied soldiers were killed or wounded. 100,000 soldiers marched across Europe to defeat German forces.

It blows away Inchon when we stopped the Korean War the Korean invasion.

The Underground Railroad. All lives were at risk in this endeavor from the people who made a decision to help aid the slaves in their life risking decisions to escape. Just a side note to this: another time the radical left tried to distort information as to the success of operation after the fact in their desire to appear they had been a part of such a heroic undertaking.

It blows away all veteran's and soldier's decisions to risk their own lives to fight for your freedoms.

There are many more historic moments that have occurred in the last 500 years. Stu of the Glen Beck show put it quite aptly as to the absurdity of this whole ’audacious mantra: “Think about what he’s saying here, The most audacious plan in 500 years was the flip of a coin to kill Osama bin Laden.”

The flip of a coin is how sources that were with the President that night reported the decision was made. “It seems like the easiest decision of all time,” Stu added.

Biden stated:
“You can go back 500 years. You cannot find a more audacious plan,” the vice president told the donors. “Never knowing for certain. We never had more than a 48 percent probability that he was there.”

“Do any one of you have a doubt that if that raid failed that this guy would be a one-term president?“ Biden continued. “This guy is willing to do the right thing and risk losing.”

Are you serious??? You want us to wade in knee deep into this meadow muffin rhetoric and believe it hook, line and sinker? Don't think so...

The push to socialize this country and dismantle its very core successes and milestones with audacious diatribe most of which has little to no facts verfying it is getting very old and tiresome. Tiresome, yes. Reagan once said, "It isn't so much that liberals are ignorant. It's just they know so many things that aren't so."

It is tiresome to those that paid attention in school to have to keep dragging out simple basic facts they should already know. Of course, we will give them benefit of the doubt as they could possibly know and just are choosing to lie and take out of context what they do know in order to save their political party and political careers. Tiresome because there are greater issues to be dealt with than having to constantly give a history lesson or remind them of critical facts that they seem to so conveniently conjure up with their selective memory moments in order to make it appear that they were a part of some heroic effort or a critical component of something they had nothing to do with in the first place.

The decision to send in the Navy SEALS was an easy one? Sure it was, if you consider it occurred when it appears to be a possibility that Obama's poll numbers needed a boost. A decision that on the very surface seem to be based on how it would affect a political career and not on what is best for the USA and fighting terrorism. Oh, sorry, forgot, according to this administration, 'terrorism/terrorist' is not politically expedient or correct. Too bad, as it is what it is. I'm a patriot, an American who believes in the Constitution, Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence and our God given inalienable rights. This political correctness is very offensive and discriminating to me. Get used to it.

So much for the poll boost. Very short lived when people discovered that the efforts that George Bush had made over many years in finding Bin Laden finally paid off in spite of the Democrats interfering in every way they could with Bush's efforts.

Since 9/11 the plan has been to kill Osama Bin Laden. That decision was made 10 years ago. Obama only carried out the decision. There have been two other times over the previous 10 years that the opportunity arose to kill Bin Laden. However, Clinton declined the opportunity twice, instead choosing to have Bin Laden treated as a common criminal.

Finding Bin Laden had nothing to do with Obama. All he had to do is decide if he was willing to risk a difficult mission to kill Bin Laden and it appears a factor in making that decision was how it would affect his personal political career if the SEALS invading Pakistan failed in this endeavor. “Do any one of you have a doubt that if that raid failed that this guy would be a one-term president?“ ~ Vice-President Joe Biden

He was not risking his own life if it failed, only his political career and his political party's agenda.
The reality is that the Navy SEALS were the ones taking the risk with their lives. The SEALS were the audacious part of this operation.

It seems the liberal left and their agenda is the only thing that matters to them. Truth seems to allude them. It appears to be an ongoing policy as evidenced by Holder’s comment: “really brainwash people” as seen in this Video of the speech was discovered by Breitbart.com.

Makes one wonder if these people really grasp that the sleeping giant is wide awake and millions are literally baffled as to how Biden, this administration and this administration's staff ever came to be elected with what appears to be distorted and limited knowledge of history and what seems to be an inability to grasp the concept of truth.

Yep, I can agree with Biden, on one item, they are audacious. Audacious in thinking if they repeat something often enough they can fool some of the people into believing it. Audacious in the art of spreading piles of bull manure......

As to “there must be a pony in there".--
We are getting a lot of the evidence but it doesn't appear there will ever really be a pony from this administration.

Mr. President, When Should I Expect Your Call?

 

 

Dear President Obama,

You don’t know my telephone number, but I hope your staff is busy trying to find it. Ever since you called Sandra Fluke after Rush Limbaugh called her a slut, I figured I might be next.  You explained to reporters you called her because you were thinking of your two daughters, Malia and Sasha.  After all, you didn’t want them to think it was okay for men to treat them that way:

“One of the things I want them to do as they get older is engage in issues they care about, even ones I may not agree with them on,” you said.  “I want them to be able to speak their mind in a civil and thoughtful way. And I don’t want them attacked or called horrible names because they’re being good citizens.”

And I totally agree your kids should be able to speak their minds and engage the culture.  I look forward to seeing what good things Malia and Sasha end up doing with their lives.

But here’s why I’m a little surprised my phone hasn’t rung.  Your $1,000,000 donor Bill Maher has said reprehensible things about my family.  He’s made fun of my brother because of his Down’s Syndrome. He’s said I was “f—-d so hard a baby fell out.”  (In a classy move, he did this while his producers put up the cover of my book, which tells about the forgiveness and redemption I’ve found in God after my past – very public — mistakes.)

If Maher talked about Malia and Sasha that way, you’d return his dirty money and the Secret Service would probably have to restrain you.  After all, I’ve always felt you understood my plight more than most because your mom was a teenager.  That’s why you stood up for me when you were campaigning against Sen. McCain and my mom — you said vicious attacks on me should be off limits.

Yet I wonder if the Presidency has changed you.  Now that you’re in office, it seems you’re only willing to defend certain women.  You’re only willing to take a moral stand when you know your liberal supporters will stand behind you.  More
