I can't help it, the song "Call Me" by Blondie keeps running through my mind
From Politico:
Newt Gingrich hasn’t spoken to Sarah Palin since she announced that she wouldn’t be running for president, but said Thursday he’d sure like to get her endorsement.
The former speaker of the House told Fox News that he has been trying to set up a call with the former Alaska governor to discuss “developing Alaska” but that the two have yet to connect.
And Gingrich doesn’t think that an endorsement is coming any time soon. “My hunch is that she’s going to wait a while and not endorse anybody for a while,” he said.
Asked whether he would want Palin’s backing, Gingrich answered, “Oh sure, I think any candidate would like to have her endorsement. But I don’t expect her to jump in in the near future. She is a citizen in her own right, she’s a force in her own right.” More

Announcing Grizzly Fest – An Online Summit –Oct. 29th – The Restoration Continues
On October 5th, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin let everyone know she would not seek the GOP nomination for the presidency at this time. She urged supporters to join her in continuing to fight to restore America’s “greatness, goodness, and our constitutional republic based on the rule of law.”
On Oct. 29th Palin supporters will gather for Grizzly Fest, an historic online summit to move ahead with a positive agenda of reform. Because we’ve still got our Grrrr on … Way ON!
Join your friends in the Palin movement including (Steve Bannon, Tammy Bruce, Jedidiah Bila, Peter Singleton, and representatives from C4P, Team Sarah, Texans4Palin, and O4P) to renew, reload and re-organize. We’ve rounded-up an inspiring group of Grizzlies to discuss the success of the movement so far, the ongoing work of restoration, and the need to rally around shared values and purpose.
We invite Palin supporters everywhere to listen in LIVE via BlogTalk Radio to this important discussion on Saturday, Oct. 29th2-5 p.m. ET, and to share their own ideas in our dedicated forums [www.grizzlyfest.com].
After the historic elections of 2010, the conservative movement is on the ascendancy.
Now more than ever we have an opportunity to unite alongside Governor Palin to actively and “aggressively” support true public servants who will stop runaway government debt and job-killing regulations. We have the unique opportunity to promote free markets and energy independence. We have the opportunity as a large grassroots movement to continue to hold our elected leaders accountable, and to dismantle the government crony system that stymies our entrepreneurial spirit and siphons away untold billions from our public treasury.
We must fight for leaner government at all levels. We must defeat the permanent political class.
Over the last three years millions of us have drawn inspiration from a once little-known governor of Alaska. From her days as city council member, then as mayor, chairwoman of the Alaskan gas and oil commission, vice presidential candidate and governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin set the standard of public service. She gave us the VISION of what we wanted in a leader.
Now it’s still up to us as constitutional conservatives to make that vision a reality across the country, to advance her vision of reform, ethics, and fiscal responsibility, and to support leaders with the restoration agenda.
The battle awaits. And we remain UNDEFEATED.

Good grief! It seems as of late, every day brings us a new story of either a failed business that received massive amounts of stimulas funds, a business that recieves stimulas funds and then promptly lays off a large percentage of its workforce or in this case, a business that receives stimulas funds then sends the jobs to another country. More often than not, the story is accompanied with a one-liner describing the recipient's relationship to a high ranking member of the U.S. Congress. For me, this begs the question, "How's that hopey changey stuff woking out for you"?
From Sarah Palin's Facebook page:
It’s bad enough that we borrow money from foreign countries to give to foreign countries. Now we borrow from foreign countries to finance jobs in foreign countries. (This kind of reminds me of the $2 billion assistance President Obama provided Brazil for their off-shore energy developments, while shutting down or blocking much of our own off-shore domestic drilling. He’s in favor of energy jobs in Brazil. But in America? Not so much.)
Do you think, as the President tours the country campaigning on the taxpayer’s dime, he understands that voters in Finland won’t get to decide whether or not he keeps his job in 2012, but voters in Michigan and Ohio sure will? In fact, I’m sure the millions of unemployed workers in every state will want to learn why the Obama administration gave half a billion dollars to finance “green” cars built in Finland.
While they’re at it, the geniuses in the White House could also explain the $1.2 billion they gave to SunPower, a company that makes Solyndra look like a blue chip stock. SunPower’s market capitalization is $800 million, but the company is in debt $820 million. What a great investment, huh? Your tax dollars at work, America! If President Obama wants answers about this, he better act fast because his Department of Energy was already caught revising history by scrubbing SunPower’s name out of old DOE press releases. The President should start by asking Democrat Congressman George Miller about the company. Rep. Miller was the leading advocate for giving money to SunPower, which hired his son as a lobbyist. More
