Palin: Wins Right Nation 2010 Straw Poll

WASHINGTON---Sarah Palin won the Right Nation 2010 straw poll for 2012 presidential potential candidates a straw poll from the Values Voter Summit, another conservative group taken over the weekend gave first place to Rep. Mike Pence. Right Nation has more that twice the number of people voting--1,693--than the Values Voter gathering with 723 participating in the straw poll.

Right Nation 2010 held its national meeting Saturday in the Chicago suburb of Hoffman Estates, billing itself as a gathering of conservatives, Republicans and Tea Party independents.

Palin did not attend the Right Nation 2010 or Values Voter Summit in Washington.

Palin: Vetting Sarah - The Assignment of a Lifetime

This is, most likely, the the most thorough (and accurate) article on Sarah Palin I have ever read.  While many of the "talking heads", both left and right leaning dismiss her, it's my belief that they are seriously miscalculating her appeal,  her influence, and her leadership experience.  In the words of the writer, "There is a wave now clearly rising. Marc Ambinder of The Atlantic thinks it’s time for the Obama Administration to play the “Palin Card,” setting the former governor of Alaska up as the target for some Alinsky-style frozen personal polarizing.  He dismisses fears that such Presidential attention will elevate Palin to greater national prominence:

Elevate Sarah Palin? How much higher can she go? Everyone knows her.  Some of Obama’s advisers have argued in the past that the attention paid to Palin by Americans in the last stages of the 2008 campaign is one reason why Obama was able to win so cleanly.

Palin and the Tea Party movement are not the same thing. The movement, evolving out of movement conservatism, is principally about government and the economy. Palin revels in the culture wars. But when that part of the Tea Party that does care about social issues becomes the story, linking the two in the public’s mind is easier.

Yes, the election is about control of Congress. But at a larger level, it’s about competing visions of the world. John Boehner v. the Democratic agenda is a boring contrast. Many Democrats couldn’t tell a Boehner from a Cantor. But everyone knows who Sarah Palin is.

MANCHESTER, NH – Ayotte for Senate announced today that former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin recorded a phone message encouraging likely New Hampshire GOP primary voters to support Kelly Ayotte for Senate.

Governor Palin endorsed Ayotte’s U.S. Senate candidacy on July 19, declaring her a “Granite Grizzly.” Ayotte has the support of several prominent national conservative individuals and groups. She recently received the backing of Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn and former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum. Ayotte also has been endorsed by the National Right to Life and the Susan B.
