You can tell how big of a threat Sarah is to the left by the way she is constantly savaged in the press. They can’t fight her on issues so they resort to the favorite liberal pastime: personal attacks. Vanity Fair has a new article where McCain’s people finally “come clean” about how horrible she was and what a drag she was to the ticket. Truth is they’ve been trashing her from day one. She immediately outshined the head of the ticket and lil’ Johnny and his peeps couldn’t handle it. Sarah is completely responsible for whatever success the McCain ticket had. Can you imagine how dismally McCain would have done at the ballot box without her? And yet, the press implores us to look to watered-down Repubs like John to “save” our party. Yeah, right. It’s about time all the liberals and moose-lovers face the truth, Sarah and the new breed of bold conservatives are the real future of the party … and the nation. More

When did you start running?
I grew up in a running family. My parents caught the running craze in the mid '70s and we grew up doing family runs. I've been running now easy for 35 years.

Do you remember your first race?
My dad was a track coach and he'd get all the neighborhood kids together and take us to Anchorage for track meets when we were very young. Anchorage is 50 miles from Wasilla. And ever since we were little we'd do 10-K races as family fun runs. More

Palin: I'd come out ahead in run against Obama

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says she'd come out ahead if she went one-on-one with fellow jogger President Barack Obama in a long run, according to an interview published online Tuesday.

"I betcha I'd have more endurance," she told Runner's World magazine.

"My one claim to fame in my own little internal running circle is a sub-four marathon" in Anchorage, she said, referring to her 2005 sprint in the Humpy's Marathon in which she beat the four-hour mark by 24 seconds. The American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 is authored by U.S. Representatives Henry Waxman and Ed Markey.

Governor Palin is concerned about the economic and environmental impacts the legislation could have on Alaska. “This bill does not offer enough flexibility to states to meet national standards and goals,” Governor Palin said. “Flexibility is particularly important for Alaska. Our cold climate and rural populations make it difficult for Alaskans to implement technologies that work elsewhere. Again, this is a case of one size doesn’t fit all.” More

WASHINGTON — Gov. Sarah Palin's political action committee sent out an e-mail today, soliciting contributions tomorrow. June 30 is deadline for reporting donations to the PAC from the first half of the year. ("Please give before June 30th. Your help is critical," the e-mail from the PAC notes.)

"SarahPAC needs to be in the position to help fund candidates who are going to fight for what we all believe - smaller government, less spending, and fewer taxes," writes the head of SarahPAC, Meg Stapleton. "With your help, we can take the Governor's message and encourage others who also have hope and are firmly rooted in the conservative belief that you know how best to spend your money and not government." Palin hits back at 'malicious' photo

(CNN) – A week after a high-profile uproar with comedian David Letterman over the late-night host's joke about her daughter, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is again sharply responding to the appearance of her children in the public sphere.

Palin's latest response comes after liberal Alaskan Blogger Linda Kellen Biegel doctored a photograph of the former Republican vice presidential candidate with her 1-year-old son Trig, who suffers from Down Syndrome.

Biegel, who blogs in support of the Alaska Democratic Party under the name "Celtic Diva," superimposed a picture of conservative Alaskan radio host Eddie Burke over Trig's face in an apparent effort to show how close the radio host is with the Alaskan governor. More

U.S. Sen. John Kerry goes for Sarah Palin punchline

WASHINGTON - A jovial U.S. Sen. John Kerry must have been channeling his inner Letterman Tuesday when he quipped the wrong governor had gone missing.

The Bay State Democrat was regaling a group of business and civic leaders invited to the Capitol on the bizarre disappearance of South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford, who was said to be hiking the Appalachian Trail.

Palin Likely Prepping for 2012 Presidential Run

Two republican presidential hopefuls in two weeks have committed political suicide by conducting extramarital affairs; Senator John Ensign (R-NV) and today, Governor Mark Stanford (R-SC).  While it may be easy for a democrat to rise above this stigma and be elected (think Clinton and multiple extra-marital affairs), conservatives who are pro-family and pro-life remain a large part of the republican party as there is no viable  third party option at this time.
